If you’ve made it this far, congratulations! You have successfully completed the first branch of the circular trail “El Mentidero–El Canto–El Cascajo”, bringing to a close the route we’ve called “The Heartbeat Trail”.

With this trail, we sought to evoke the steady, enduring pulse of the mountain landscape—a place that has continually adapted, transformed, and persisted through time, shaped by the generations of men and women from El Pinar who lived in close connection with this land. Their mark remains etched in the landscape, tempered by the challenges of its demanding environment, both during the years it was inhabited and in the quiet resilience that followed its abandonment.
